News CHEERS TO A NEW YEAR AND NEW BEGINNING!!! Here is what’s brewing….. Our greatest glory is
not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall. Free to KAR/BCRR Members!!! Indoor Track Workouts at WMU Reid Fieldhouse to begin this Tuesday Morning!! Need a warm vacation?
You don’t need to migrate south….. indoor track workouts are back!
Whether your goal is to run or walk a casual 3 miles, tackle a long
run or get in your lactate threshold workouts, come and join us!
We are still waiting to confirm Sunday morning dates with WMU, but for
now we will be in business the following Tuesday mornings from 5:00
am – 7:00 am: January 9 – Mini-clinic on Multi-speed Training at 5:30 am! January 23 February 6 February 20 February 27 March 13 March 20 Shower facilities will be
available at the Maple Street YMCA for $1 from 6:00am
– 8:00am….bring your own towel! The full track workout
schedule will be forthcoming once we have the Sunday dates! Cost
of Workouts is FREE to KAR/BCRR Members/$5 Non member
friends! “Reach for the Stars” Borgess Run Camp! Borgess Run Camp
Registration is now open!!! Visit www.borgessrun.com for all the details! Learn how you
can reach YOUR goals, launch into a series of space missions and prepare
for the Borgess 5k or National City Half Marathon!!!
Orientation is Wednesday, January 17 at the Lawrence Education Center
(Borgess) at 6:00 pm!!! Cost of the 13 week program is
$65. The SHufflers Marathon Training Program Begins this Saturday at 8:00
am at Bicentennial Trail Milham Road
with a 5 mile run! Post run orientation is scheduled for January

Chicago Marathon is now open and is scheduled October 7!!!

you plan on running Chicago, make sure you
sign up early; last year registration closed in May and many were locked
out! It is possible it could close even earlier this year. We also strongly suggest making hotel
reservations now. The Congress Hotel is our usual choice
due to its convenient location across from Grant Park! Check it

Member Reception Runs! We are ready to roll out something
special where new KAR/BCRR members are the star of the show!
Stay tuned for details on these casual, fun “welcome wagon” runs
and socials! Kal-Haven Trail Relay! Start putting your teams together!
The Kal-Haven Trail Relay has been scheduled for March
24, 2007! Run from Kalamazoo to South Haven as part of a
6-person, 2-person team or do the entire 33.6 mile run solo! Cost
is dirt cheap at $10 a person. Unique awards (A Dave Walch
Special) All proceeds benefit the GOTR Girls on Track Program!
