KAR EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING

August 1, 2006

Proposed Agenda:

KLASSIC CONTRACT - final revisions Dave

  • We will put the amended contract on our letterhead.
  • Total profits for this year was over $20,000.
  • The changes made by Dave are those that the board had talked about. They are listed in Bonnie’s handout.

CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS ideas Dave

  • Travel mugs with a logo and club championship title.
  • We will price out the mugs. We need to price out for about 70-80 mugs.
  • Dave will price out the mugs.
  • Championship info can be printed on one side and the logo on the other.

CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS ­ cake choice I’ll make this decision and if you don’t agree, I’ll keep the cake?

  • Memphis Legend ­ large cake
  • Honey Maple Carrot ­ small cake
  • Southern Twist Caramel ­ small cake
  • Write a congratulations message on the cake.

  • Indoor track workouts ­ go for the Sunday mornings that we can get January to March. KAR could offer speed workouts to go along with Borgess run camp.

    • The results of the survey were shared with the group.

  • The half-marathon response was very good, the 5K response was good. Some people felt pushed a little too hard. The marathon group response was not good.

    • Course support is the most work, but we can provide a plan.
    • We will try to support this and not compete with Borgess run camp.
